Dehsar Works + Bhumiputra Architects
Dehsar Works | Bangladesh
Dehsar Works’ journey began in mid-2015 as a “design lab for other design studios”. During the practice’s initial years, they worked alongside established architecture firms on competitions and ideating projects. They excel at creatively navigating small-scale design problems and engaging in material experimentation. Notable projects include the 'AJO Idea Space' and 'Blues Head Quarter,' showcasing innovative use of materials and space. The studio's participation in competitions, like 'Urban Street Design,' expanded their urban design portfolio.
Bhumiputra Architecture | India
Bhumiputra was founded in 2013 with the intention of breaking away from pigeonholing and typecasting. The practice aspires to be scale-, typology-, and end-user-agnostic, with a multidisciplinary approach that focuses on problem-solving through research and iterative development. With for-profit and non-profit arms, the firm seamlessly balances diverse projects in domains including healthcare, education, sports, manufacturing, science and technology, ecology, cultural preservation, and conservation. The practice is looking to add four more verticals in an organic capacity for the past few years, namely—engineering, mapping, policy, and materials.
Their multidisciplinary ethos, rooted in "first principles thinking," fosters innovative solutions. Advising state governments and collaborating with ISRO and the Reserve Bank of India, Bhumiputra showcases its impactful and versatile contributions across domains.
