Noqta was established in 2019 to re-introduce the vocabulary of traditional architecture in Afghanistan. The firm’s approach is based on a deep knowledge of the social, cultural, and environmental qualities of regional architecture. Noqta is actively engaged in the creative process of translating this knowledge into contextual and programme-specific design solutions. As Afghanistan's first post-war private architecture studio, they blend tradition with personalized design solutions. Notable projects include a Herat building complex merging traditional and Timurid styles, and a Parwan summer house showcasing Buddhist history. Noqta has also developed the ability to conduct environmental performance analysis using simulation and on-site measurements.
