With a bachelor's in architecture from the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, and a Masters in Conservation studies from the University of York, UK (2015), Pema’s decade-long journey reflects a deep passion for preserving Bhutan's rich heritage.

Located beneath the canopy of a 35-year-old Pisonia tree in Karachi, Pakistan, Marvi Mazhar & Associates (MMA) is an architecture and design studio founded in 2014 by Marvi Mazhar. Specializing in historical structure restoration, conservation studies, and social research, MMA's practice emphasizes learning from heritage and engages diverse clients, from governmental entities to private organizations. Meticulously documenting architectural heritage, the studio advocates for ecologically sensitive heritage sites, employing varied research methods to inform contemporary, sustainable design interventions.
